We are all about sustainability, and making a positive impact on our planet by reducing our carbon footprint. This year we’re taking our commitment to the next level by eliminating the need for travel. The competition will be fully virtual, and students can join us from around the world in their own space.

Who can participate in the competition?

The Contest is open to university, colleges, and vocational training students worldwide who:
a)    Are between the ages of eighteen (18) and thirty (30) at the time of submission of the Initial Application; AND 
b)    Are currently registered and enrolled as full/part-time students in any undergraduate program or graduate program. 
The challenge is open globally, but participants should have proficiency in English, as the official language of the challenge will be English.

What are the Entry Guidelines for a Team:

While registration is on an individual basis. Contest entry is open exclusively to teams consisting of a minimum of two individual registered students, and a maximum of four individual registered students.
All team members must be studying in the same country.
a) Team members are not required to attend the same university, nor are they required to study the same subject or be in the same academic year of study.
b) Students are not required to be permanent residents or nationals of the country in which they are studying to compete.
We encourage each team to be gender balanced.
Each individual entrant is allowed to enter the Contest as a part of only one team and to submit only one Initial Application.
The challenge is open globally, but participants should have proficiency in English, as the official language of the challenge will be English.

The theme is "Energy Tech for Local Impact," focusing on identifying a specific energy access, efficiency, or reliability challenge faced by a real community, and design a clean energy solution that directly addresses it. Your solution must be commercially viable, environmentally friendly, and built to last.

At the end of the final round, the Top 3 winning teams will be given a prize to be split evenly among each team member, pending their adherence to all requirements and obligations for the Competition.
A total cash prize pool of €10,000 will be awarded as follows:
1st Prize: €6,000
2nd Prize: €2,500
3rd Prize: €1,500
In addition, winners will be celebrated and elevated through a comprehensive promotional campaign designed to enhance their personal brand and visibility.
In addition, ongoing mentoring sessions will be provided by leaders  from Schneider Electric.

Is the Go Green Competition a job? Or will this lead to guaranteed employment?

No, the Go Green competition is not considered to be a job, and it will not guarantee employment at Schneider Electric
However, upon individual registration to the Go Green competition, registrants will be asked to provide their consent to join our talent community, and understand that we will keep your personal information and track your engagement for 2 years after your last activity, so that you can be considered for job opportunities and contacted by recruiters considering our interests. You can delete your data at any time by logging in and going “Settings” section.
